I've been messing around with the stock codes in the database file (correcting the odd mistake that i'd been working around for a while) I've also had to reinstall SCM and PCTill due to computer problems, now SCM won't load up. When the splash screen appears i also get this message.

Run-time error '-2147217887 (80040e21)':
The field is too small to accept the amount of data you have attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.

 I press OK then SCM closes.

 I think this is either an error in the licence code that i entered, or more likely the stock codes i've played around with.

 What is max characters i can use for the stock code and are there any characters i can't use?

Hmmm, shouldn't be reading stockcodes at that point.

How many characters are in your computer name?

15 characters, it's the one windows generated when installing.

Tried changing the computer name to 6 letters, but still the same problem.

Also tried reinstalling, but no joy.

 Any idea's?

Sorry for delay, been going through what could cause it.

Would you be prepared to send us your .mdb file so we can see what is going on?

Also, what version of SCM are you running?
